I find that the faction leader portraits and biographies are interesting for computer players, but a turnoff when I select a faction. Even though you can 'customize' your faction leader by selecting 'male', the portrait of a woman comes up and the game continues to refer to you as sister. Umm, why give us the option to change gender Firaxis if we really cant do it?? Stupid..Would it have been so difficult to allow gamers the choice of selecting a portrait from a pool of different looking faces: men, women, etc? Also, maybe the option to write your own biography? Wouldnt that make for a more immersive game?

You can customise any faction with the wonderful ACEdit program, download it from http://www.sidgames.com/acedit |

yes, the Acedit is great but this is one of those things where Firaxis fell short and you can put into the category of "could have been, should have been" |

Nah, you just have to apply your role-playing skills and willing suspension of disbelief extra hard when you're playing female faction leaders. Not that I ever would, of course.Seriously, I think the story is a big part of the game, and we should just leave it alone. But I guess it's your game and you can do whatever you want with it. |
