Repeating none of the old mistakes, originating new ones...

Seriously, however, I can see the top 3 or 4 teams in the Premiership dominating like Rangers in Celtic, and that cannot be good. Bolton's start has been... indifferent. Two draws so far, even though we should have beaten Tranmere and Darlington, although in the case of the latter we were lucky to salvage a draw.
I look forward to Valtyrs views on Liverpools generally impressive start, and how are Reading doing Mike?

It looks promising for Liverpool. Not the least because of what seems to be a solid 'keeper. Finally a Liverpool goalie not to be ashamed of, although the same was said about James when he started . I like some of the new players. Smicer for example, looks like a good buy. What annoys me, though, is that I'm not going to be able to watch that much football this season, because I still can't afford a dish. So it's mostly going to be the FA Cup (on "state" TV), an occasional trip to the pub or taped matches for me . I saw Liverpoool on TV when they crushed the losers of Vlerenga (mwahahaha) in a practice match. I hope that won't be the only game I see with them before the end of the year...

Oops (or ooops )! I mean Liverpool, not Liverpoool.

Well, Liverpool just lost at home to Watford. "WATFORD?" I hear you ask, yes Watford. It's just what I've come to expect from Liverpool in the Nineties.

I was at an electronics shop today and guess what I saw in the TV section? 20 or so TVs with the Man**** vs Leeds game! Naturally I stayed for a while .

Yes! Liverpool beat Arsenal. 2-0. Hmmm... Beating Arsenal, but losing to Watford. It's one of those seasons is it? I hope not.

Reading won one (Bristol City at home which I saw) and have drawn one and lost 2 of the others. They are about 5th bottom which sucks. Chelsea are doing OK, two games in hand 6 points off the lead, above Arsenal who have played the same no of games, same problem as last season though, they aren't killing games off.

Bolton are biding their time, not performing miserably.

All I got is one question?
What the hell is up with my Newcastle United?
Has the guy with the funny hair been sacked yet? Christ! Newcastle in Div 1 ?!??!

Ruud Gullit resigned. The reason he gave was that journalists were harassing his family in Amsterdam. Anyway, there's nothing new about Newcastle in Div 1 . If it hadn't been for Kevin Keegan (not a favourite of mine, though) that's were they would probably have been. In fact, he saved them from being relegated to the 2nd.

Woohoo! Great game between ROI and Yugoslavia, some fantastic goals. To those who don't know, Ireland won 2-1, but the cross from Mijatovic, and the finishes by Keane (robbie) and Kennedy were jusrt sublime.

AND Keane (Roy) and Irwin are both injured! Yeah! I mean, oh dear poor ManU.

Good old Bobby Robson has taken over the helm at Newcastle. He hasn't managed an English club side for 17(?) years.

He's managed some big club sides though, Barca, PSV etc.

And England, how could you forget?
I think he's a good manager, but I don't know how he'll do at Newcastle. We shall see.

Er, JohnIII, England is not a club side . Bobby Robson also managed Porto and Sporting Lisbon as far as I can remember. A sympathetic man if nothing else.

Over here Rosenborg haven't lost the league since 1991 (Viking Stavanger). It's getting all to predictable, and boring. They'll win it this season as well.

I wouldn't get anything back. Besides I almost never bet and certainly not on the "enemy". On the other hand betting on my club Brann would not be a a good idea, even if they were the favourites, because they always find some way to press the self-destruct button. Well, I hope they finish second and qualify for the UEFA Cup. And they're still in the Norwegian Cup, but so is Rosenf*ck... And everybody (read: the media) is going on about how good representatives Rosenf*ck are for Norwegian football and that we should all support them when they're playing in Europe... I say stuff that! I hate them a _lot_ more than I hate ManU. In the footballing sense of course. Still, never mind me, I'm just rambling. Ignore me.

Scotland and Wales were lucky yesterday, Bosnia and Belarus should have won easily.
Valtyr, at least your tea have a chance of getting into Europe, our only way is the FA Cup.

Norway beat Greece 1-0 yesterday. If we win the game against Slovenia Wednesday we'll qualify for the European Championship. The rest of Europe shudders at the thought. Yes, I know, Norway play boring and predictable football and you might even call it primitive, but at least we get results, so you won't hear many Norwegians complain. I just wonder what would've happened if we didn't get in such an easy qualifying group this time.

John I think you can still get a UEFA place from the Worthington cup this season.

Yeah, we nearly won that a few years back!

The top Premiership teams don't take it too seriously so you've got a chance.

It's much better following the blue half of Manchester, we get to beat great teams like Burnley 5-0 in the Worthington cup and sneak 0-1 victories against the other local sheep at BWFC!!!!
