Part oneThis used to be fun. Back in November, when I was just starting my SMAC-OT carreer, it was a whole lot different. More people and more fun.

Part twoThere were few Misho/chrisk and Trippindaily idiots. There were all the best posters we see now scattered around in Apolyton, Firaxis, SidGames or just having a vacation. |

Part threeThe I Club was in its early teens, and the IIIS was just starting its bizarre existance. The forums were alive with socialism/capitalism, religion, death penalty, kosovo, politics, EU economics and other intelligent threads. I'm happy to have made a contribution. |

It is for the best. As I have said, the release of the game killed the forums. As the floodgates were opened, Flam... er Game was overrun, and slowly all intelligent debate stopped. Now, the forum might slowly get its debates back or its intelligence, but I guess most vets stopped holding their breaths for it to happen. < subliminal message > Come to Firaxis OT; Join us. < /subliminal message >Good luck on transcendance, and hope the Flamers don't have a fit, like when I posted my 1000th. (Remember the we hate Victor threads?) |

Vicor - we must dissent. These forums were promised to be merged, and I'll be one of the old timers who stayed. AND preserve my post count in one place! |
