The only bit I am presently interested in is whether it will be worth taking a few days off to get to Devon. At the presently predicted weather forcast it seems... NO. Awwwhhhh. |

Romania is the place to be, I saw on Euro-News that people from all over the world is flocking to Bucarest and other cities. Apparently in Romania the eclipse will last a whopping 2 minutes 14 seconds (or something like that). In Sweden well be lucky if we see anything at all, even with clear skies, Bishop |

Everyone I know at the Met office is saying you might as well stay at home and watch it on TV. |

Well I saw it at 97%, and it was ok. But clearly the difference between 97% and 100% must be huge. None of the promised special effects etc. Never mind, it was fun anyway (and got me away from my desk). |

DAMN!!! The sky was cloudy during the peak... oh well, we just got 80% of it. It still was dark and I still saw more than half the sun eclipsed. Something to tell my kids and grandchildren when I'll be an old fart. |

There was 100% cloud coverage over Gothenburg during the eclipse, so I didnt see sh*t. Ah well, at least I saw it on EuroNews. Bishop |

Saw it perfectly from Bucharest (Even if some clouds cast some doubts over conditions during the 100% period.) You know, I always thought I would have to go to the eclipse instead of the other way around. (Still, I had to reschedule my yearly visit home.) "Romania is the place to be, I saw on Euro-News that people from all over the world is flocking to Bucarest and other cities. Apparently in Romania the eclipse will last a whopping 2 minutes 14 seconds (or something like that)." -Fills me with nationalistic pride, and we finally have something that right-wing government can't wreck or sell off for nothing. |

I saw a 91% coverage from my back garden in Manchester. Suddenly, the lyrics "waiting in an English garden waiting for the sun to come" are quite applicable. |

And there is supposed to be a meteor shower tonight lads. Mind you if it is as spectacular as most other heavenly exhibitions perhaps it won't be anything to rave about. |

Stewart, but don't you know that if the sun don't come you will get a tan from standing in the English rain. And become an eggman. |

A political cartoon in a Romanian newspaper (picture of a guy watching the eclipse): "Incredible! They stole that too!" |
