Hi Dan, I'm sad to see the org's not dedicated to others than Americans... (Does that include Canadians? How about Central, and Southern Americans, for that matter?) I mean, I'd sure like to get a chance to get up there before I die... |

TP: ProSpace lobbies American politicians for adequate and correctly directed funds to further space exploration for the public. I bet they would be open to associating themselves with organizations in other countries with similar goals. Now's your chance to establish ProSpace Sweden! SFF (a different organization--the one that is putting on the conference) doesn't have as much of an American focus, so I wouldn't feel left out. If you've got the $ to do it, I'm sure they would make you feel welcome at the conference. Both organizations are fairly new (I attended the first meeting of SFF about 3 years ago), have top-notch backing (as you can see), and aren't afraid to tackle cutting edge issues (which is important, because some organizations turn bland because they don't want to appear to be Buck-Rogersish freaks). |

TP: also, you may very well get to go to space. As I see it, the problem with the U.S. space program is that there has been no concrete goal after the Apollo program. When there was a goal, we were able to accomplish it sooner than most had anticipated. We now have a goal (a trip to space for everyone), so our progress will be fast. |
