Seriously what can I do?I don't think a doctor would believe me, somehow. I haven't had any voices forcing me to do random violence, but I have a voice who is pure evil, a complete cynic.

if you still like smac then play that. I'm usually too busy bitching at the stupid ai to hear any voices in my head (if I have them in the first place). |

Remember, do whatever the vioces tell you to do. If you don't they will stab red hot knives of fire into your spine. |

At least the voice is speaking in a language you can understand. Bizarre random question of the day: If you are billingual and schitzophrenic, what language does the voices in your head speak? |

Sleep deprivation does that. Get a few good nights sleep, stay off the sauce and recreational chemicals and you'll be fine.

err.. okay. The 'evil' voice thinks logically. In a situation, it will taunt me into trying to do the most evil thing possible. Or it will put me down. example 'Ah, he hasn't emailed you in a week' ' He must no longer want to talk to you, you probably freaked him out....' Playing Smac makes it worse. I like the Uni or the Hive, but the voices are always giving me advice.

Guys, if Eccles is serious then it isn't a laughing matter.Eccles, if you're not serious, then find another joke. If you are, then please talk to your doctor. There are lots of different problems that could cause delusions or hallucinations. There are also lots of ways to treat them these days. These types of things can get worse if they are not dealt with, to the point where it gets to be hard to function. At that point, you can end up hurting yourself and a lot of the people close to you. Just keep telling yourself that the voices aren't real, and get help. -- from somebody who has more experience with mental disorders than he wants |

Voices? Isn't that one of the signs of schitzophrenia (sic?). It's curable, but it get's tougher at later stages. |

Eccles, I know how you feel. It happens to me too. I personally find this a lack of confidence, but maybe it's just me. Also, the possible couse could be a uncontrolled abuse of narcotics, especially acid and trip. Weed can make you paranoid too. Did I just say too much? Ugh..well..it was a tough weekend.. |

Be more evil than the voice. If it says : "I'm sure you don't have any e-mail"(not very evil) then say or think:"Well, Voice, I am not going to build the ATT(Ascent To Transcendence), soo... ----, just shut up" |

Does the voice keep repeating "drone riots" over, and over, and over? I keep hearing that one, too.Get out with some friends and have a good time, it'll help. Oh, and doctors HAVE to take you seriously, its their job. |

Oh man, Dreadnought, that's some funny ****...Eccles, these voices....could they possibly just be an amplification of the self-conscious internal dialogue most of us keep going all the time? Seriously, talk to someone about this. Either this dialogue is getting a little too persistent, or it could be something else. You'll be OK, but this is like a thorn in your paw...get to the bottom of it and get rid of it. Good luck, man. Keep us posted. |

Oh and by the way...if this really is serious and has you concerned...isn't this sort of a case of taking the problem to the crazies instead of to the doctor? C'mon, man. Most of these people hear voices in their heads 24/7. There's not an spponful of brain cells dispersed between the lot of them and you're going to ask for medical/psychological/spiritual advice from this crew of malcontents and misfits? God be with ye, son. |

Yes. What was worrying me was that the voices started to make themselves 'vocal' even when I was out with friends. The evil voice is an excellent reasoner. He always demonstrates his ideas, and out of all possible actions, he chooses the most evil, for that reason, he also explains why it is evil. And, I had it forcing me to be really nasty in BOTF. It kept saying 'This system will be sterlised'. For 4 days! It effected my work! Ok, doctor it is.

Eccles, did you ever see that episode of Tales From the Crypt where this guy was hearing this vioce in his head. Well, the guy happened to be at a night club, and he was convinced everyone could hear his voice because everyone was looking at him funny. He ended up killing himself at the club, and when it panned up to the guy's head, he had a Q-Tip sticking out of his ear (people where looking at him funny becuase of that, not because they could hear the voice).Moral of the Story: Make sure no objects are lodged in your ears or any other orphace before you begin to wonder if other people can hear the vioces in your head. |

Yep, classic symptoms. Soon the projectile vomiting and head-spinning will begin and you'll start speaking in unknown tongues...this is not good. My suggestion would be an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show. |

Okay Eccles no more jokes... How many voices do you hear? That's scary when you say they vocalize sometimes. Anything specific that is being said? What sort of feelings do you have when the voices manifest themselves? You should see a psychiatrist or something. I'm getting kind of worried now...
