A lot was discussed about how to rule the world. That is, however, the easier part. Giving today's condition, how does one have to do to conquer it?

Destroy it completely and utterly, and then start from scratch.

Really that's all you can do. With today's alliances it's impossible for any one nation to conquer the world. The U.S would get decimated in China and Russia. You would have to nuke it several times over. Hide in a bunker first. Then come out and conqeur what's left. Hopefully you do this before you die of radiation poisoning or starvation.
