I think we've milked the "Civil War" idea for all it's worth, "Great Empires" is dead, and noone wants to resurrect it. I doubt any sci-fi story thread would succeed, and I've run out of any other ideas. Open to suggestions. Maybe a "Today's World" like at Apolyton?

So, Spartan, you say the "Sci-fi" empires killed CW:2023, but now you admit that the whole thing was science fiction. The question now is: do I want to help you, or will I leave you to rot here? I think you know my answer, Spartan....

Good god, spider, give it a rest. I think most of the Off-Topicers who were interested in RP have left. You'll have trouble getting a story thread off the ground on this board.

As Korian stood, trying to come up with a topic, the idea came to him, it hit him on the head. Korian forgot all about it, becuase he was knocked unconcius.

El Pres, I'm not trying to launch a story thread; I refer to the thread on the Firaxis forums. And yes, I was going to give it a rest, but you brought it back up from the depths. Do I have to bring up Architeuthis to keep it down?!

How about one based on factions in Mars. The Alpha Centauri game escalated to galactic proportions, but we can make this work by having it not far in the future.
