Has anyone heard about the new proposal to eliminate the border and make a common currency?

I don't think so, I didn't catch much about it, it was on the news as I was leaving this morning.

Your kidding right. I doubt clinton would risk our economy by doing that. And of course congress would never approve it. Clinton kind of sidestepped nafta a few years back. Remember all the fuss about that. I doubt the public would stand for that.

No, I'm not, I saw it on the news this morning. I was somewhat less than enthusiastic about the idea.

Wow, that would be great. It would be the first step towards a unified Earth. I for one am all for this proposal

From what little I know of Canada, they wouldn't go for the idea. My fiance has a friend from Vancouver she went to uni with that would get furious when their Scottish(yes, Scotland, long story) friends would tell her Canada was part of the US.

I'm basing my conclusions on one "case study", maybe I should start selling bee pollen as a cure for cancer.

That's a typical canadian though, we all get pissed when people say we are the 51st state.

Maybe...

On the other hand it could be a step towards big, unified power blocs fighting each other for profit. Kind of like in 1984.

well in that case the fighting won't last long. I'd say we could take canada in 2 days maybe 3.

Go ahead, attack, Most of europe would be on our side, face it, you haven't made many friends over there, while, on the other hand, almost all of europe loves us.

I doubt we could merge, there are too many parts of Canada which would have nothing to do with it. Quebec? They probably would want to go independent in that scenario. Probably the same for the Western provinces. The only ones likely to want to join may be the Maritime provinces which have some closers ties to New England. Anyway why benefits come to the US in such a merger? Cheaper Hockey players?

As always, I remain,

Europe? pretty funny. You had me going. Just how do you think they would get over to this side of the world. Take a look at their navies then look at the U.S. navy.

Hey, it's no secret that the US is probably the least liked non-dictator country in the World.

I live in the US, and I never heard of anything about that. How would that work? What about the differences in the ecomony? It's not an even one-to-one dollar trade.

Other random questions,
Will this adventually lead to the US getting Universial Health Care for everyone? Will this hurt the import of wacky Canadian comedians to the US? Where will we go when the US drafts?

When the US drafts we go to Cancun and party!

Actually, mabey the US could annex everything except Quebec, they're annoying anyway.

I've had people tell me that if canada and the U.S. join Quebec would try to separate, you know what I say to that ****, then we could get the U.S. to deal with it, they shoot traitors, we try to beat them in a referendum.

Maybe they will just kick out Quebec. Then It can either stay independent or join France(EU).

what do you have all against Quebec. it is not because a minority want to separate from Canada thjat everybody want to. And by the way, some of the separatists want Quebec to join U.S. I know they're idiot, but they exist. Otherwise, American are nor liked much in Quebec nor in the rest of canada, nor in the rest of the world.
And no Canadian want a common money with the Americans, sorry the United stateser, because we are indeed Americans too as we live in America.

Titan.
