Who else here is buying it when it is released tommorow? I took back Fleet Commander and made a prepurchase for it at EB. If you are planning on getting it, I suggest prepurchasing it at EB, you get 10 bucks off that way.

Dreadnaught, EB took your Fleet Command back?!? Mine claims that EA won't take the games back!! And because of the way life works, all of the games I own right now are EA products in one way or another! I'll try again... |

ZRand007- My EB took Fleet Command back with no hassle at all. Don't they just repackage they games that are returned and sell them for a cheaper price? Anyway OldWarroir, I'll post my review in a new thread when I get it later today.

According to the newsgroups you should only buy it if you have a high spec computer. Even the minimum on the box (P233) is supposed to be unrealistic. |

Another game my computer won't run! Ah well, no great loss, I hope. |

The game chugs a bit on my PII 266 when there is a lot of action on the screen, and other times as well. According to what I read at the TA:K website it also had some problems with this even on high end systems. Cavedog is supposed to be working on a patch to alleviate the problem a bit, I hope...... |

Hail,This I find slightly odd, since I've been running the game with little problem on a Pentium (not a P2, just a P) 233. The load times are fairly long, but other than that I haven't had much trouble. Wraith Witches use brooms because nature abhors a vacuum |

Wraith, how much RAM do you have? Are you using software or hardware rendering? |

Hail,My current specs are rather unimpressive, but here goes anyway: P-233 (on an Asus mb) 96 Megs of RAM (10ns SDRAM) 1.6 Gig Western Digital HD ATI Rage Pro video card (PCI, not sure how much RAM) 32x Hitachi CD-ROM Pro Audio Spectrum 16 soundcard (really old) Think that covers the important bits. I'm running Win 95 SR 2, but I've probably got it a bit more optimized than most. TA: Kingdoms has run fine so far, except for the load times. The only changes I've made in the Options menu is to turn on health bars and turn off shadows. I am, however, running it a 640x480, but I haven't played around with higher resolutions yet. This seems the most likely culprit of system slowdowns actually; if it's slow try turning off some of the extras. Shadows seem to be the worst offender, but I haven't done any real comparisons, so take that advice with however much salt you wish. Wraith Shift to the left! Shift to the right! Pop up! Push down!
