Only one question:

How did you get your nickname?

I got "Wyarian" one day after throwing different letters of the alphabet together, and I got "Pryde" 'cause it sounds kewl.

This is the first time ever I tell someone about my nickname.
Allod is Russian for margrave and I have it from the PC-game "Allody" (Rage of mages), of which I luckily possess the Russian original version.
You're the first one to tickle it out of me. And I don't even know how...

Mine's from the confused nickname given the golfer Craig Stadler by Chris Berman on ESPN. He mixed together the Beatles song lyric reference and the lyric reference from Mrs. Robinson by Simon and garfunkel. It should be "I am the walrus, goo-goo-gajoob" and "Koo-Koo-Kachoo, Mrs Robinson..." Oh, Stadler got the nickname because he looks a little like a walrus. Strangely enough here in Boston the term "Walrus" also refers to long time employees of the city or state government. Since I work for the city and Stadler is one of my favorite golfers I thought the name was appropriate and I used the abbreviation "kkkch" to save time and because it looks good.

As always, I Remain,

Your faithful and obedient servant

Well anyway Ambro is short of Ambrosius which is one of my middle names(yes my parents didn't like me. What's your excuse?). 2000 I added because of this redicoulus paranoia about that year.

Yep that's it!

1) because I'm a capitalist bastard
2) because I always play as Morgan
3) I consume substances - oops - no resources. Sorry

Mine was given to me in irony. I am not a christian, I am highly un-celibate when I get the chance, and I talk too much.

Given to me by a guy called Surjit. Though I always called him "Ferret".

I'm also a Starcraft player. There's a neat trick you can do in Starcraft. You can cast Stasis Field on an Archon while it's morphing to get an Archon that looks like it's in the stasis, but actually isn't. It's that simple. Why am I telling you this?

My father's surname is McCauley, and so I received that surname upon my birth, because in the society I live in, the surname of the child is typically that of the male parent.

Philip is a name that my mother and father thought was nifty. Hence, my name, Philip McCauley. I'm sometimes called 'Phil', because it's easier to say.

Right. Hugo Rune is a Character who features heavily in "The Ultimate Book of Truths", "Raiders of the Lost Car Park" and "The Most Amazing Man Who Ever Lived", most commonly reffered to as the "Cornelius triology" from the name of the principal character. Hugo Rune is the person in the title of the last book- "the Most Amazing Man Who Ever Lived" (What can I say? I'm modest! )

Here's a description of him from one of the books:

He had known many previous incarnations. And then some.

He had walked the Earth as Nostrodamus, Uther Pendragon, Count Cagliostro and Rodrigo Borgia. Although probably not in that order.

He spoke seventeen languages, played darts with the Dalai Lama and shared his sleeping-bag with Rasputin, Albert Einstein, Lawrence of Arabia and George Formby.

He was worshipped as a god by an East Acton cargo cult and once scaled Everest in a smoking-jacket and plus-fours to win a bet with Oscar Wilde.

He travelled to Venus with George Adamski, reinvented the ocarina and was burned in effigy by The Chiswick Townswomen's Guild.

He was an expert swordsman, a gourmet chef, a world traveller, poet, painter, stigmatist, guru to gurus and hater of Bud Abbott.

He could open a tin of sardines with his teeth, strike a Swan Vestas on his chin, rope steers, drive a locomotive and hum all of the works of Gilbert and Sullivan without becoming confused or breaking down in tears.

He won a first at Oxford, squandered three fortunes, made love to a thousand women, imbibed strange drugs, sold his sold for Rock 'n' Roll, almost pipped Einstein for the Nobel Prize, was barred from every Chinese noodle parlour in West London and died penniless, at a Hastings boarding-house in his ninetieth year.

His name was Hugo Artemis Solon Saturnicus Reginald Arthur Rune. And he was never bored.

From "The Book of Ultimate Truths" by Robert Rankin

I should probably read them then.
BTW, are the covers drawn by Josh Kirby?

Nope, by Ian Murray.

Josh Kirby did the discworld covers.

The Ian Murray Covers are pretty good, though.

Bishop, from the android in Aliens (played by Lance Henriksen). Actually my nickname in real life is "Jonis", a name wich Im not so fond of it was given to me in the 8th grade by my music-teacher and its been following me around ever since. My sister has the same nickname (Strange, huh ?). Im also known under the name "Jonesy",(from Ripleys cat) but its only my good friend Erik who calls me that. another alias I use infrequently is "Mula" (from a comedy show on swedish radio.)

Valtyr posted 06-20-99 08:35 PM ET     Click Here to See the Profile for Valtyr  Click Here to Email Valtyr
Valtyr is Old Norse. It's actually written Valtr, but I decided to simplify it. It means something like "army-god" and was used as another name for the top god in Norse mythology, Odin/Oden (Woden?).
I first used the name in Civ2 playing a conquering game with the Vikings and I though it fitted . (That was my only game as the Vikings, however, as I could never get over the fact that Trondheim was their capital , but that's another story.)
