In the year 2012, European NATO, facing severe oil shortages, did the unthinkable, and declared war on the newly formed North American Alliance, composed of Canada, Mexico, and the US. The war was devasting to both sides. The US, Canada, and Mexico all collapsed, and although the European nations held together, their alliance did not. Who will you chose to be? A new superpower, trying to replace the US? Or a European nation, aiming to regain her lost colonies and start new ones? I am President Korian of the New England Federation, composed of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Connecticut, Massachusets, and Rhode Island. We aim to provide a stable government and wealth for all our citizens. Rules 1. No strategic city nuking, although EMP is allowed. 2. If you begin a project, i.e. tech, prototype, space station, you must announce begining and end. 3. No harming any person who is or was the leader of one of the nations in this board. 4. Each real day= 3 game months 5. Black Dragon is not allowed. 6. No making a 3rd, NPC country attack any other country, PC or non, without the consensus of a majority of posters. 7. No making a revolt in a country unless the poster whose country it is has specifically said there is a disssident movement in his nation. 8. You may only claim land which is currently settled, i.e. no claiming the moon or Antarctica. If you have any other rules, feel free to post them.

SOMEWHERE IN WEST TEXAS, MARCH 21, 2023 In an extraordinary and unexpected event, a huge oil field was discovered in West Texas. Within 2 days, due to the major oil shortages throughout the Texan Confederation, crews were in place and were drilling almost around the clock. This event overnight catapulted the Texan Confederation to near-superpower status, because of their huge bargaining chip - one of the last major oil fields in the world.GULF OF ALASKA, APRIL 5, 2023 A Texan fleet recently arrived in Alaskan waters, with major amphibious Marine units. This force consisted of 3 aircraft carriers and support ships, 14 submarines, and 2 entire Marine divisions, as well as 2 more regular Army divisions for support. The Army and Marine units, once in place, began a major amphibious assault with the goal of securing Alaska for the Texan Confederation (not to mention securing the vast resources of the region, and hoping to find another major oil field). There was almost no resistance, and indeed Alaska had been stagnating lately, due to its unaligned status. This resulted in the President of Alaska welcoming the Texan forces, and ordering his scanty troops to stand down. Alaska was, however, still a vast area, and would take weeks, if not months, to fully secure and occupy... |

No, Korian, the less plausible factions did not kill the previous thread. Apathy killed it, and you contributed to it. You faded out, leaving the rest of us to our individual fates, and now you blame and prohibit the likes of the SSTA, ASE and LS; if you would do this, then ban any such device or technology that you disagree with, anything unrealistic; but be forewarned, for I will do likewise, and I will not be so lenient with the Phantome-class destroyers as you were.... |

Spider, your ASE *was* pretty bad. However I agree with you about the stealth stuff. All these issues would be solved with a moderator. I hope Apolyton gets that story forum. It would allow for a structured story game.I really don't think Korian was at fault. |
