RC..read a thread in the game forum by Goobmeister called "My Name Is Goobmeister And I Am A Smacaholic"...or something to that effect. Last post made on 06-03 so you will have to go back 20 days to see it.It will explain to you what is happening. |

OW. Checked it out. My God this is serious. You know I thought I had it under control, thought I could handle it. But then, you know, every night after work until the early hours. But I can handle it. I go to work but ..aaagh... there's the forum luring me away from my duty. Evil corrupters all of you. Aredhran - The H-word is surely a contributory factor. But I think he is the symptom not the disease - at one time I would have just ignored him, but now my addiction exceeds common sense. That reminds me, the H-word has been seen on the Game forum today,he managed to submit an e-mail comprising entirely of two letters. If it were A and B, I would think he had made a start on his alphabet but he even got that wrong. Sadly, I couldn't resist the temptation again. Shame on me. Does it seem like your spending more time in these forums than actually playing the game? |

Same here, I know play Brian Lara Cricket (batting is a little easy- England 210/1 off 29 overs in a Test against South Africa?), X-Wing Alliance and Quake 3 Test. John III |

How can you make a realistic cricket game? I mean, in a football game you just decrease the time, making a half 4 minutes instead of 45, but cricket fans would feel cheated if this happened to them- a 10 overs game anyone? It's gotta be hard, but not so hard you lose out straight away. The factor of fatigue has to play a major role- in a real cricket match players tire as the match porgresses. |

The problem is you know where the ball is going, and besides the fast bowlers are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow. Anyway, bowling's difficult. John III |

How can you make a cricket game where it's hard enough to bat that you don't always score sixes and fours, but at the same time easy enough so that you don't just get a lot of whickets? How do you account for the fact that a lot less runs are scored towards the end of a day/game (depending on the type of game)? |

And that Michael Atherton just doesn't get 70 off 50 balls, with 11 boundaries? I don't know. I think the speed of bowling should be increased, because even against Shoaib Akhtar, Allan Donald or Darren Gough it only feels like medium-pace. John III |

Maybe I'm giving away my age here - but I remember Graham Gooch's test Cricket on the Spectrum.I was awesome - runs per over between 16 and 36 (depending upon alcohol consumption). Who cares what happens when the oppos bat. I guess that's what's it's like to play Scotland |
