Well the people above my post are actually quite normal. I was referring to the influx of total whack-jobs to this forum lately.

If something doesn't happen soon the forum will collapse under the weight of the collective stupidity.

Not you, Rick, not you. I get his point, however.

But seriously: Haven't there always been? Look back at Domk, chrisk, Freddz, KoRN MaN, and even you, A-man (Admit you were an asshole in the beginning), and it can be seen that this is not a new phenomenon.

Arrrgh!

User "Hugo" can remember past.
Past = Aman was knob.
Statement not true.
Zzzglarb....
User "Alphaman" offline.

-----------------------

Anyway, that may have been true but I was successfully rehabilitated and now am a constructive member of the community.

Plus, I was never this stupid. The fact that there is a bug that makes one thread become two is not helping either.

----------------------
PS - no, not Picker. User "Picker" = good.

Its more of a collective moronicness that permiates the very fabric of the forum. Hard to explain. Will post full explanation later.

Becoming a 'regular' here on the forum is a function of both "number of posts" and "time since first post".

If either of these is way bigger than the other than it obviously doesn't count.

In case you are wondering where I got that from, some of you may remember the rather lengthy discussion we had about this a while back in the "Newbies vs Vets" thread.

The above statement I made was the conclusion I drew from that discussion.

A-Man. If being new is undesirable can I just point out that I appear to have been here first?

It isn't undesirable in my opinion. However you have to admit that you're on shakey ground calling anyone a "weird newbie".

Anyway- I aim for quality over quantity...

Pick,

Not throwing stones here, but when Aman first showed up on the forum - before your time - he created quite a stir. He has reformed nicely and is now, quite the responsible forum member. Maybe some of these new guys will do the same. Although I will admit that some of the stuff from HARDMAN is hard to take. I have to my eyes while I read it.

User Aman destined to serve life sentence for crimes committed as a newbie

Aman, I did not mention your early posts just to dump on you or keep you in jail for newbie "crimes". I had two reasons: First I wanted to point out that people, as in your case, can change. Second, I just wanted to remind you of the rocky start that your posing career got off to so maybe you could cut these other guys a little slack. If someone new starts posting crap maybe there is a better way to handle it than a flame war. You took quite a bit of heat early on. You could have gotten mad and left, but you stuck with it and reformed. I respect that.

By the powers invested in me by the state of confusion, I hereby grant user Alphaman a full and complete pardon for any and all perceived or actual crimes committed as a Newbie.

This court is adjourned...

DanS,

As I mentioned, I preside in the State of Confusion. Specifically the First District Court of Appeals. As you are, obviously, confused about my jurisdiction I must, in fact, have jurisdiction over you. Admit this or I will have no choice but to sight you for contempt!

OhWell - Woohoo. I'm free! No longer having to spend my days in back breaking labor. Thank you Judge.

DanS & OhWell - This kind of stuff confuses me. Dan says "change your name and start over - we never forget". OhWell says "I respect your reformation". Aman says "what the hell? Is there no way to please everyone?"

I think of myself as a sort of uppernewbie. I'm certainly not a vet, but I'm also no brand-new newbie. Are there any parameters on newbieness/vetness? I can't access my own profile, or those belonging to others...Anybody know what my figures are? Wait, don't tell me, I think the small numbers would depress me, as although I read lots of posts, I don't make too many.

Dreadnought and all... you are what ever you wish to be... who cares what others think and what is the difference between vet or new if you are enjoying conversing with people and they respond in kind. Dont worry about times posted or when I registered or what this guy thinks of me.. Screw that and be yourself and whatever that is that you want to be. Just my opinion though cause I dont care if I am a newbie or vet. As popeye says I am what I am and thats all that I am.

And now I have been looking at so many profiles in the past day that I am amazed at the diversity of these forums. Actually it is pretty cool to see. And I have alot more than I thought I would but must have accumulated most over the past 2 weeks being out of work...Otherwise I usually dont have the time to reply to everything I would like to.
Yes you put an idea in my head and I couldnt get it out like the way you sometimes get that freakin song stuck in your head and hum it all day to yourself. You are an evil dr doom.
Let me leave you with a little something to get stuck in your head
Let me tell ya little story 'bout a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed
And then one day he was shootin' at some food
And up from the ground came a bubblin' crude
Oil that is..black gold ..Texas tea...
You know the rest keep on hummin'.
