Just in case anyone wondered why I'd been absent recently: I had an accident. It involved me and a Mercedes, so I had the pleasure to stay in the hospital for four days, and right now I am plastered from the toes of my left foot to my waist and covered with bruises, cuts and more uncomfortable things.
Hope I didn't miss too much...
Someone start a thread about safety in traffic!

So, Allod... Exactly what were you trying to do with this Mercedes?

Roland&OhWell: I didn't tell the whole story so as not to look too whiny, but okay, you asked for it...
I was attempting to cross the street on tuesday evening. I was just coming out between two parked cars (Yes, I know it's dangerous, but, hey, do you always care?) as the Mercedes came around the corner with an estimated 60 km/h. The driver hit the brakes not a moment too soon, so I got only half-way run over. I'll just try to illustrate this:

When I woke up again I was in the hospital, and a lot of people told me that I had big luck. My left leg's a mess right now, but the doctors say it'll be okay.

What I forgot to add: the allowed maximum speed in this street was 30 km/h.
Besides, honestly; show a bit of a sense of compassion, a leg that's three times broken with bonesplinters up to your arse isn't all that funny.
