Ok, I noticed that the "Conquest" thread that was in the Factions part of the Forum was gone. So I have decided to start it here all over again.
This it how it works: Pick a few countries in the world, create your new union/empire from them and set out to rule it and maybe take over the world one day! Please, keep your initial countries low (no more than 10) and we are using the current world map as a guide (so know your geography before claming countries). And if you take major big ones, the US or Russia (even China), you cannot take more than 3 other countries max to start (to be fair).
You can have pacts, alliances, trade agreements, etc. and after you can go on and persuade (or conquer) other countries that have not been claimed. Remember this is role playing and keep it realistic (you'll win some and lose some). Also, give some qualities of your new faction as well, so people know what you are about (and what you do)!
Let the Conquest begin!!!
PS - After this thread reaches like over 100 posts, a new one will be created, like World Conquest 2, etc.

(Just like the Holy Roman Empire of the middle ages, almost)
We are a democratic, pluralistic society and neutral as well (but will defend ourselves if attacked)
We offer the following to all the nations of the world (we are neutral)
-No questions asked bank accounts, loans and financing (all confidential)
-Various tourist locations for your relaxation (world leaders and people alike)
-Neutral, safe ground for negatiations of treaties, accords and resolution of conflicts
-Huge shipping fleet for global transportation of goods (no destination too far or cargo too sensitive)
-Extensive knowledge in heath care(treatments, equipment, etc.) and research as well
-Fertile ground for various research projects(biotech, computers, etc.)

Read the rules more carefully, yoyo.
I'd pick the US, Mexico, France, and China. We are now simply the United States, not the USA.
Our economy will be similar to the recent USA economy. Everyone would be under my despotic, but democratically elected control. All other nations may now, for a fee, use the former nation of France as a dumping ground for any nuclear waste or 'extra' chemical or biological weapons, as long as the placement guarantees that the toxins will not cross the borders of France. The French people will be sold to other countries for slaves or medical experiments after we finish raping the country's natural resources. Our country's focus is mainly my amusement.

Greetings. We are the Pacific Submarine Alliance. I am President JT3. We are a democratic society and have a totaly free market. Our empire is totaly submerged beneath the depths of the Pacific. We have achieved this using the new Hyperion alloy that the USA secretly developed two years ago. This allows us to build bases and ships at any depth. Our capital is Alliance Base in Challenger Deep, Mariana Trench. We have vast amounts of energy from underwater cracks in the earth's crust. Armies are pointless against us, and navies will not be able to defeat us, I assure you, thanks to the Hyperion hull system on our subs. We will not attack any cities or bases unless they are underwater, as we want to remain submerged. We offer an alliance with the FNC and, if they agree, assure them total protection from other nations on the seas. We offer treaties to all other nations.

Greetings, I am known as President Dreadnought of the Federated Territories of the Americas, CTA for short I control the previosly stated territories under a mixuture of communism and democracy. Oh yes, it's as crazy as it sounds. Business and personal rights are all government controlled, the government also has complete controll over taxes and miss. votes.
Guns are strickly outlawed, free speech is allowed and education is the nation's top priority.
My immdiate first actions are to take the entire Hispanic population of SA and Mexico and shoot them at the sun in a big rocket. The Japanese population has been tought English and has been relocated to the now empty South America along with Britian.
The former British and Japanese territories are now massive military bases with first strike capabilities.
My massive military now stands at the north and south borders of the US, preparing to invade.....
MWAAHAHAHAHAHAH

My balistic missles are currently being targeted at Mexican communication sites and airfeilds.
I also offer an Freindship Pact to the FNC, and wish to begin trading with the newly discovered oil and uranium fields under Brazil. We also offer trading agreements to any other new nations.
Oh and BTW, the Capitol of my nation is located in the Andes mountians, and is known as Neo Dreadnought, with a population of 450,000 (the neo makes it sound futurisitc, no)? Other mjor cities are Sheffield, Burroughs and New Clarke. 100 Ceniams (The currency of my nation, $7.56 = 1 Ceniam) goes to the person who can tell me what sci-fi book series those city names are from!!

Ok JT3 you have been approuved. So it has for you Dreadnought (but your abbreviation is FTA not CTA). As for you, YYYH, just review your choices (and read the rules), plus some have left, so pick all over again. Before anyone blasts anyone else, let's give a chance to a few people to join first (to make it fun).
So far we have JT3 as the PSA, Dread as the FTA and me as the FNC.
Sethito, this it how it works: just follow the rules and pick a few countries to start. Then through negotiations and conquest (as well as trade, etc.), try to control the most of the world you can!

To Dread: Review your country choices, you cannot have all of South America (you would start with more than 10 countries if you do). Once you review your choices, repost them.
To all: Keep your choice for an empire logical, don't spread yourself around the world (think of the logistics). Just look at my choices and the creative way JT3 has done thing. Our choices are believable.
BTW, if anyone read this thread, still open to new players. And Philip is gone, so his choices are up for grabs as well.

To all: To make it more interesting, Canada and the US can be split up in their provinces, territories and states, so you can pick them individually (and to make the game more interesting). You can pick up to 10 US states, or 4 Canadian provinces to start plus 3 other countries max. Or mix and match states and provinces, then you can get 10 states and 4 provinces total. As for China and Russia, you can pick no more than 2 more countries.
REMEMBER, you don't need to take the maximum!

Greetings. I am Ronin, leader of the new Union. We have only one country, Iceland (since the Netherlands have been captured ;-)
We are a small, powerfull group. Our greatest concern is enviroment. We have created Domes on Iceland, wich house complete ecosystems. We also use bio-weapons. Also, we have advanced defensive tech (all kinds of stationary weapons), but we lack offensive skills.
All of our tech is based on Bio-Tech. We are also the Horizon Cooperation, with connections all over the world, to finance projects. We are allied with President Thundros.
