I once had 'Arrogant, Lazy, Diffident, prefers playing the fool, rather than a musical instrument'I wrote in my comments ' This Term, I did equal amounts of work, as I did antiwork. I did as much work as I created for other people. I figure I broke even' anything worse?

In our local school system, the teachers, because there are so many students to keep track of, just pick comments by number from a database to put on report cards. In high school Physical Education class, one teacher got the guys and ladies comments mixed up, and this one girl got the comment "Needs to work on upper body development". There was an out of court settlement with the family... |

In my old school they gave you three grades for each subject. A subject grade, a homework grade, and an application grade which is how hard you've worked in the subject. There're five grades; from A(best) to E(worst).Well, for science I got an A for the subject, an E for homework and an E for application. Yeah, go figure. Ever since then I've done absolutely no work at all. So I blame all my laziness on my ex-science teacher. jig |

In OAC(grade 13) I had 40+ absences in every class. That looked pretty bad on my report card. My parents were not pleased. |

My grade 11 year (last year of highschool in Quebec) my abscences in each class were about the same as my marks. Both were in the high 90's - # of classes missed for absences, and % of 100 for marks. What was nice was that whenever I *did* go to class, the teachers were happy to see me and had a good number of questions (stuff that had come up in class and they had not bothered to research). Can't blame 2 of them - the "real" math teacher got quarantined in India, so we had a replacement for a few months. The chem dude was pretty, well, he had been exposed to a few too many. My teachers also had to select comments from a database. I was expecting a combination of "Attendance Needs Improvement" "Excellent comprehension of material","Participates in class discussion" and "limited class involvement", but got mostly "Pleasure to have in class", which I think was the only one that covers most of them. Yay highschool. Got me ready for college profs saying: "Why don't you care?". |

B+ (yeah, well it was an 89.7 and she didn't round up...and she was a MATH teacher!!! (Of course, she also has a reputation for screwing up grades)) Although I once got a 76 at midquarter, but brought it up to a 90 by the end of the quarter. And the great thing is: I never study. Although I think that if I don't start I'm going to die in high school. |

my school is on a 7% grade system (ex, "A" is 93% and up). Don't worry, Nat, you'll do fine. I slept my way through Freshman year and got almost all A's (except for geometry because of my intolerant sexist(against guys) bitch of a geometry teacher). |

I live in the (supposdly) most prestigious public school system in the United States (id est Fairfax County la Virginia). My lowest grade was a C+ in Civics in eighth grade. It completely crushed me...This year (my sophomore year) I have not received anything under an A.When I was privately schooled, I did not get anything below a B+. Perhaps I should return there... --Veractias |

Mine would have to be an F for not actually showing up to class. We had double session school and had to be in in 6:00 in the morning. I could never get up that early. Of course my job now requires getting up earlier than that a lot of times. |

8th Grade: All As and Bs w/ one C. At the end of my first semester of High School: GPA-1.25 or something equally pathetic. It took me 2yrs of actaully trying to get past the 2.0 range. Graduated lower third of my class.Current College GPA-3.16 |
