May we never forget those who were killed, exiled, or imprisoned. Had I been there, I would have joined the man on front of the tank. There was a special on CNN regarding Tianamen square. It reported that unfortunatly, the new generation of Chinese do not have the urge for freedom they once did. This was attributed in the report to the fact that the ecconomy is doing very well in comparison to 10 years ago, the econonmy is doing very well. Indeed, may it never happen again. But I fear in China in never will happen. While the government would still be there, the protestors would not. |

I would have liked to join the protest. But in the tank. I mean, the students wanted ridiculous things, like freedom, and their demostration might have caused more violence, so it was best to squish them then. ' A weak despotism is one who makes any concessions' 1984, Orwell -Datalinks |
