~somehting I always have been wondering~Why do you get two points in basketball insted of one? Why couldn't it be so that you got one point inside *whatever you call it* and two points outside *whatever you call it* ? That would be more logical.... Ambro2000

Because you get one point for a free-throw. A free-throw being the shot you get to take when you are fouled. And it's called the three-point line. |

I see someone doesn't pay attention to sports all that much..... (Ambro, I mean you)Bulls are officially dead. I go for Lakers. Even though they're probably mutated from all that LA pollution , I still like 'em. |

JT 3: If you look in the NHL thread you'll see that Ambro pays very much attention to sports . And he likes soccer too. |

Oh yes I'm a big sportfreak. Although I'm pretty far from the football/soccer knowledge Valtyr has. He is a walking ensyclopedia that man.. But I have little or no knowledge in Basketball, American football and the horrible game baseball..... Basketball is actually beginning to grow quite big in some psrts off Sweden especially in the north parts (Lule). It's still lightyears away from Fooball/soccer and Hockey though..... "Magic" Johnsson(sp?) is going to sponser a team in Gteborg next season and we have quite a few Americans in our league. AMbro2000/B> |

Ambro: You should learn some baseball. After you understand the rules the game is much more enjoyable. I used to think the game was a mess until I made an effort to really understand it and now I like it (don't get to watch it very often, though (I must get a satelite dish!!!).). As for OW_42's claim that it's better than football/soccer, well it's not! So there...:P |

If the Knicks can somehow manage to edge out the Pacers (which they may in fact do), they will get embarrassed by the Spurs in the finals. Even if they had a somewhat healthy Ewing, there would be nobody to stop Duncan and Robinson inside. Who's going to do it? Dudley? LJ? Herb Williams? Maybe for the first half, but as soon as foul trouble comes along there will be no defense there. And this comes from a vehement Knicks fan. |

Valtyr....I was just picking at Ambro for getting on my favorite sport. It really is a great game if you learn it and its not as easy as some people might think. Ask Michael Jordan. As for Ewing helping the Knicks....too late ,he is gone for the rest of the playoffs But Marcus Camby could get the chance to come into his own and shine And I do actually like soccer too...I was just bustin. |
