Well, Bolton are confined to the 1st Division once again, but there are the matches vs Blackburn to spice things up . On a more serious note, though, I was gutted by our defeat yesterday, and although I hold no grudge against Watford, I do not think that they will be in the Premiership come 2000/2001 time. I doubt that Bolton would have been, either, but at least now we have a chance. Now we need to recuperate, sign some new players, keep Colin Todd, and tighten up our defence, which was appalling for most of the season. I have also learned that Mark Bosnich is going to Man Utd, so good luck to him, although I hope Man Utd don't pull of that sleight-of-hand one more . What are other people's thoughts on next season? Will Liverpool continue their downward slide (Valtyr)? Will Reading win a match ? Who knows? John III

When I saw the highlights from yesterday's match I immediately thought "Damn, JohnIII is probably not in a good mood right now. And to lose to Graham Taylor...that must've added insult to injury ." I haven't been following the 1st Division that closely. What kind of team is Watford? Do they have any players of reasonable quality? Liverpool...*sigh*... Well, they certainly need some quality defenders and some midfielders as well. I hope they get their hands on van der Sar. If they don't do well on the transfer market they'll certainly continue their slide. I just heard that the former Norway manager Egil "Drillo" Olsen is going to take over the helm at Wimbleduh, er I mean Wimbledon next season. Now, if there ever was a team that suited him... He says that Wimbledon has sort of been his favourite club for the past seasons, with their long ball style of play. But he would have to tighten their defensive play a lot, he claims. |

Well, Bradford certainly should go down. They have no sense of fashion. I mean claret and amber??? |

Yeah, Bolton have an incredibly classy kit. Not sure about Liverpool though... John III |

What's wrong with all red? Liverpool plays in all red, Brann (sometimes) plays in all red, firemen wear all red and so do Danish postmen. I rest my case . |

But it's the sheer style of dark blue and white. John III |

Well, you're probably right, JohnIII. I guess they remind me too much of Rosenborg (those ******* pieces of *****!) who plays in white shirts and black shorts. |

Ah well. Heard about Olsen, though, and somehow I think he'll suit Wimbledon "But he would have to tighten their defensive play a lot, he claims" That's exactly what Todd should do with Bolton, and then we will go up and stay up! DAMN YOU LATE GOALS!!! John III

Have you ever noticed that it's always the same teams (Arsenal, ManU, Rosenf*ck) that get those late deciding goals? Says a lot for team morale and the ablity of the manager to inject(?) some work ethics into the players. (Damn English is hard :p!) |

I think it's just to do with reputation. i.e. Man Utd don't want their reputation as "unbeatable" spoiled by Bradford, so they will do everything to score. John III |

Reading need to be moving up to division 1, they'll need to play a lot better than this season but the division will be easier. The first division is going to be really tight next season, I reckon there are about 10 teams who could challenge. The three that came down from the Premiership, Ipswich, Birmingham and Bolton, Fulham and Man City OK that's only 8 but I wouldn't be surprised if any of those won it. |

"I wouldn't be surprised if any of those won it" Neither would I. But I'd be delighted if Bolton won it!However, we really need to shore up our defence, as we let in too many late goals that cost us quite a lot of points. No problems scoring goals, however John III
