I've made most of my posts this week at work. Can anybody else say they have a full-time job where they do not have enough work to keep busy all day so their boss tells them to just "kill some time".

Of my 1400+ posts on these ressurected forums, I'd say well over 1000 of them have been from work.
Full time phone computer tech support. Right now I'm averaging about 10-20 5 minute calls in an 8 hour shift(today, for example, I've been here just over 3 hours and spent a total of 15 minutes(6 calls) on the phone, the rest is surfing, reading, etc.

I am a computer software and web technician. It's just for the summer though, I am still a student(comp sci major). They have this big ass list of things that need to be done but they haven't let me do any of it yet.

My job rules are as follows:
Always look like you're doing work.
If there's no work to be done, stare at people so they don't shoplift.
If there are no people in the store and there's no work to be done, use the bathroom until someone comes in.

Yes, but has your workplace ever given you all the free Chimay Grand Reserve you could drink?
There was also Belgian food there (very tasty) but that really was of secondary importance to the wonderful beer.
