Pick one of the following essay titles to write a 1200 word treatise on for tomorrows class:
1. "The symbolism of the Light Sabre"
2. "Luke, Anakin, and the Oedipal Complex"
3. "'The Force' Through myth and legend"
4. "The History of jedi-like knights"
5. "Star Wars as a modern myth"
*HARD* 6. "Why Jar Jar Binks had to be included in the phantom menace"

Teacher, I decided to write 200 word essays on all 6, okay? Don't use the word counter though, please.
1. Symbolizes a return to ancient, ineffective ways (They were always right all along, says the movie). A bold anti-technological statement, saying that swords really do beat guns. Look at the line "Feel, do not think" that Qui-Gon (it's KWAI gon, damnit!) says to Anakin for more evidence of this feeling.
2. The Oedipal Complex is modulated through the time continuim when took to the past. Instead of killing his father and marrying his mother, Luke wants to chop off his father's hand and marry his sister (at least in ANH).
3. "The Force" represents every deus ex machina used to make myths and legends work, with Gods caring a lot about the death of nobility and not at all about the common man.
4. Read A Connectirut Yankee in King Arthur's Court for the true story on knights and wizards.
5. It is one. Like, duh.
6. The question is based on an an incorrect premise, and is there for impossible to answer. The word "had" in "Why Jar Jar Binks had to be included" is incorrect.

lol.... thats all i have to say... so i guess i'll be here afterschool
another question: why is luke luke, when he couldhave been someone else, but not luke, because luke is not luke, buth i'm wondering why that is, luke being luke, i mean couldn't luke be someone else besides luke, like luke, or maybe luke...
