Due to it's popularity on another thread, let's compile all the æ words we know. Since I only could think of two at the time (I know others have thought of some) lets make a list here. Long live æ!

ægeis (Really good armor Athena wore, and a missile defense system)
æolus (God of Winds)
dæmon (old name for a demon)
ægean (the Sea south of Greece)
æneas (guy in the Aenead who runs from Troy and founds Rome)
æolipile (thing Hero built and is always mentioned as predeccesor to jet engine)
æon (even longer than an eon)
æsir (Norse God/Gods)
æsculpas (guy Socrates owed a chicken to)

It's actually Æneid, from Æneas. Here's a couple other ones:
Æthra (mother of Theseus)

Spoe: For what it's worth, all the Final Fantasy games I've played has had the Ægeis as a shield, but every mythology text I've looked at has had it as a breastplate. I'll check to see if I can find a link confirming one of our stories.

A quick check shows the Aegis listed as a shield, a cloak, or a breastplate, all derived in some way from a goat skin.
