- They're nebies, so don't know that you only have to hit the "submit" button once, or they like to be annoying and have not made any friends here, so don't mind annoying everyone.
Where do all the double-topics come from?
- A glitch in the forum software.
Why do threads disappear when they reach the 254-mark?
- A glitch in the forum software that unleashes evil demons if 256 posts is known to Firaxis employees, so for our protection threads that reach 254 posts are removed.
Why did this forum reset when Singularity posted 500 times?
- Singularity, by posting 500 times, activated an unknown glitch that unleashed evil demons who destroyed the forum and delayed patch 3.
Why are no Nazis on this forum, but so many on Apolyton?
- All the hate here is channeled to the Evil Demons that reside deep within the programming.
Why are there so few Star Trek lovers in here?
- There is no new Star Trek movie.
Why are there so many Star Wars lovers in here?
- There is a new Star Wars movie.

- Not really. It's keeping some of us amused.
What's the meaning behind "blah"?
- "blah" has various meanings, depending on context. Originally, it was intended to be rather meaningless or obscure, but as the "Blah" to actual text ratio decreased (from "blah blah, blah bla bla blah Star Trek" to "less blah, more blablahol"), meaning became more and more easy to discern, and thus more accessible to Newbies.
Why did EU regulate the length of a "proper" banana?
- Same reason the City of New York specified that "Any franfurter that is longer than 8 inches long can be referred to as a 'Foot Long Hot Dog'".
Why shows my system-clock another time as the one on the forums, although mine is exact?
- You are not in the Eastern Time Zone, and/or the time on the forum server is not as exact as yours because of all the demons that it holds at bay.

- Very few. If I put a poster on my monitor, it severely hampers my ability to play SMAC, even if I put the tech tree poster there. I would assume most others feel the same way.

- They got rounded up and fed to the even more extreme Evil Demons of the Forum. Or became less extreme, like Yin, for example.

- Fewer extremists.
Why is it maintained by Activision?
- They actually maintain most of the world and are the brains behind all "important" leaders. Especially if their name is William. And they like to call themselves "Bill".

- 56 up to now, this is number 57. There are 21 more, for a total of 78. Which happens to be my birth year.
Does this really matter?
- I guess not, since you say so.

- well, I would say that it does, because it attaches numeric value to a sequence making the size of the sequence more easy to comprehend.

It has to do with elevation. The higher you are, the less effect Earth's gravity has, meaning that time dilation is lessened according to general relativity

What's the difference between an evil demon and an evil daemon?
Plenty, if you ask me. An Evil Demon is big, nasty, and eats things, comes from an alternate dimension and usually prevents it's victims from running away. An Evil Daemon is big, nasty, eats code, comes from "somewhere else" and usually prevents other processes from running.
