I was just reading the Diablo thread and realised that there must be lot of people here who play StarCraft. Since it is a nightmanre to get a really good game going on Bnet (unless you know heaps of people and have great organisation skills) I thought I would do a little plug for anyone who wants a good game of SC.

I would, but my @#^&$$@!ing computer is $%&%^&@#^ed and it won't patch properly. Though I'm sure I could point you to a few good games if you wanted.

I might be interested. Just out of curiosity, and I know I've asked this before, is there any point to joining a clan? If so which one?

Clans? I don't see the point of them in SC, no. Just get involved with something like CWAL and you shouldn't ever have a problem finding a game.

Looks like it's time for a quick trip down to Irvine, eh? Perhaps, but first I need to expand my shadow conspiracies here, they seem to have died off, but we'll be bad. And we'll crush those capitalists at their own game (be sure to buy some vodka at the Communist Party Headquarters.) Or maybe we will convert the non-SMACers.

I don't fancy the Clans myself.
You gotta really love SC and nothing else (like SMAC) if you wanna go serious in a clan.
Plus most of the (good) clans are so damn good that they are really damn good.
If you just wanna play every now and again then the Channels are the best bet.

How often do you play SC though?
how good are you at it?
i play whenever im on the internet (every couple of days or sometimes everyday when i get a chance if people ICQ me for a good game)
im about average compared to everyone else on bnet i suppose. obviously im not as good as the die hard SC fans but can kill most other average players in a 2v2 (my fave game size - any less is a bit stupid and any more and you all need good lag other wise it goes a bit slow cos the map is huge and there are a lot of units buzzing around)
anyways - so if you want to have a few games first then either post here (although the time diff between us might be a bit awkward) or ICQ me.
Anyone else welcome to do the same.

Hey a SMAC clan... wow... we can have clan wars in SMAC... epic battles spanning days upon days... lol
well anyway sign me up
as far as starcraft, no don't play it... Myth wus fun though, but otherwise it's a healthy diet of Quake for me... ADSL = absolutely no lag... Yeahh groovy baby!!!

I play one game of StarCraft every week, usually on Friday. I will play more b.net once I beat the game or when school is over. I'm not that good.

Hey Alphaman, I'm regularly looking for some friendly starcraft players (who don't backstab) who like to go 2v2. I usually go by user Zero-Gauss, and can be found in channels: nohunters, killalot, and sometimes the "sex" or "sex2" channels (gotta love all those ppl pretending to have hot steamy, lesbo sex, usually with names like BLADE_VAMP_HUN3).
Also, you can ICQ me at 11781263, my comp is on 24/7 (dedicated ADSL connection, usually running SETI@Home when I'm not there), but I usually have pretty explanatory away messages.
