An article from the Canadian Press written by Dennis Bueckert contains the following chilling information:"An elite unit at National Defense Headquarters is actively studying whether to proceed with development of the world's first combat bra." The article quotes Capt. Frank Delanghe, an officer with the $184 million Clothe the Soldier Program, as saying: "No army that I know of has ever touched or even approached this issue." I don't know about you, but I am very concerned about this turn of events. If Canada is successful in developing this weapon system, then a sneak attack would quite likely catch the American military with it's pants down. Especially as Bill Clinton is Commander in Chief. Further, the fact that Canada even has a "Clothe the Soldier Program" implies that Canadian soldiers are currently running around naked! I feel that it is our duty to stay abreast of weapon developments so that we can support our troops. The Pentagon should immediately begin a crash development Stealth Bra program!

Uncertain where I read this but...Read somewhere that there was a bit of a problem with the bras ordered for one of the worlds armies. Apparently some bright officer (male of course) believed the line that if he authorised a large purchase of such-and-such a size, then one size would fit all (approximately) ? Anyone else reads this ? Sounds unbelievable until you speak to the old soldiers and the wonderful uniform fits they had to cope with |

Absolutely. It's a well known fact that military uniforms come in just two sizes: Too Big and too little!

GaryD: Maybe it was the austrian army you've heard about. They allowed women to serve just recently and have some... ehm... transitional problems. Given their average amount of incompetence, I'm surprised they realised the need for bras at all... |
