After the US disbanded and the warring factions had a nuculear war, the earth has been transformed into a nuculear wasteland. 40 years later, the world has changed. Animals have been massivly affected by the radiation, with 20-foot long scorpions roaming the plains. Some groups of humans have been affected by the radiation and have "evolved" into non-symmetrical beings. These people have a slight grasp of technology, arming giant crabs with missles and riding them into war, but also have primitive ways, like fighting with bow and arrows. Other humans have escaped the radiation somehow and have advanced in technology. Robots, left to ponder their existance long ago when their masters died out, are now on a crusade to destroy humanity.
Which side will you be?
I choose the Survivors. This portion of humanity burrowed deep underground to escape the radiation. Fully human, they are trying to retake the surface from the Evolved. The Robots are also a threat, and they do not know if there are other fully human groups out there that might attack them.
A militaristic society, the Survivors are run under an almost facist government. With advanced technology, they are hoping to retake the surface from the acid-spitting scorpions and missle-loaded crabs.
We have set up our first bases, with the capital being Survival Base. If any other full humans can here us now, we ask for an alliance to reclaim the earth. The humans shall once again rule what is theirs!

Note: The nuclear war mentioned in this thread has nothing to do with the original Civil War, which will continue for ever and ever. More likely this is the aftermath of the Great Empires thread after the war between the BREW and NEU turned nuclear.

I am the leader of the Evolved in the Eastern area of North America. Our true enemy is the robots, who seek to destroy all natural life. We would like to discourage any prejudice against us from the Survivors, and would like to sign a peace treaty.

We will _not_ sign a treaty, as Evolved all over N. America have attacked us. We are going to reclaim the surface!
We have set up laser cannons in our bases, and have fighters and bombers making scouting runs around our area. We have heard of a new Evolved weapon, called the death flame. A radioactive beam of some sort comes out of a cannon. This has already destroyed three of our hovertanks.
