Too much to read. Besides I'm only a quarter of the way through "homosexuals and evolution non-SMAC" so not keen on starting another yet  Just to say that I disagree with the use of murder as a form of punishment. It is primitive and barbaric, and it's use, given that murder is one of the sins it is used to punish, is hypocritical. I find it difficult to believe that many countries, if any, can not afford a more civilized method for controlling wrongdoers. |

Capital punishment is a bad idea. First of all, the state has no right to kill. Secondly, you cannot show people that it is wrong to kill by killing. Third, it;s been ineffective -- studies have shown that violent crime goes *up* not down when a community starts the death penelty. Fourth, it's unconstitutional.' Pentalarc |
