I've built this really great map, placed each faction where i want them (colony pods), and am ready to start playing the scenario, but after a few turns i checked to see what the other factions were doing and they hadn't moved yet, hadn't built any bases, nothing....
Any ideas, anyone? Am I building the bases correctly? Any commnets at all greatly appreciated.

Did you save it as a scenario and then start a game by selecting it or did you edit the map and then just start playing?

If the latter, make sure you've got 'map editor' mode turned off or the turn won't advance and the computer players won't do anything.

Otherwise I can't imagine what would be wrong, I've done just what you described lots of times without problem.

Thanks for responding, I did save it as a scenario. From the main menu I chose "scenario" and it starts up correctly asking me which faction I would like to play, I choose one and can start playing as that faction.
After about 20 turns i go into the scenario editor and choose omniscient view and none of the other factions colony pods have turned into bases or moved.
When you say Map editor off do you mean deactivate "scenario editor" or in EDIT MAP where it says "toggle editor only mode". I've tried both but it still does not seem to work.
Any other comments still greatly appreciated.
