First of all, I don't want this post to become the regular WE HATE FIRAXIS DON'T BUY THEIR PRODUCTS THINGIE. I am reporting a bug. All that have experienced the same as me, please add yourself to the list. (V4.0 only)Well, for the first time, I've witnessed the horrid Unlimited PB range syndrome.
I cannot say I've had this problem with Normal missiles, so it is actaully a mystery for me why it only happens with PB Missiles... anywayze, heres the story:
I am noticing the Gaians getting too much an advance on me... They are starting to build wonders while I'm still reasearching the things you need to build it. Well, I'm hive, so I decide to berzerkuz, since noone seems to like my planned wealth police state.
Status:
Gaians has 1 PB, More than 16 Squares away from my nearest city. None in production
Spartans, Believers, UoP all have a PB in production.
Morgan and Peacekeepers are no longer significant.
Ok .. so I blow up some nice 12+ size cities that the Gaians own. What happens? All declare Vendetta upon me. I press end of turm... Wheee... "The Gains have used a Planet Buster on The Hive". There came that planetbuster out of nowhere (from a city 40 squares away) and hit my most important city (the Hive)... Wow .. I'm amazed at the precision!!!
This game was started on V4.0. I have save game before I drive the PBuster out of my base, before I use it, after I use it, and the turn after I used it. Yes, the PBuster used IS the same as the one that was stationed at 40 squares away. Because the other one is missing. Most of the distance between my colony, and the other colony, was water, and Deidre did not use a Carrier vessel. And she ONLY had 1 PBuster. (Checked all above using the Scenario editor)
Hmm... I won't be continuing this save game ... Perhaps Firaxis would like it?
It's too bad that a great game like this has such (minor?) bugs that destroy a complete savegame for me. Ok .. they could have taken one of my bases that was close enough to be taken.. But hey! They took my MAIN BASE, the one with most of my wonders in...
