Title (almost) says it all. Can I install v4.0 on the UK version, or should I wait for a specific UK version of the patch?

According to Firaxis (as stated on old reply) the answer is Yes! They merged the two version (USA and UK english) into enhancement 4 (AKA patch 4).
By the way, are you the same Ms. Mazzoldi that I already know (Itacritter, mailing list fantascienza)?
If so, nice to "see" you again (I'm Marco Costantini, if you can remember).

In that case why does the name have the letters US in it ? (SMACP4US) Deliberate attempt to confuse maybe ?
Oh and does anyone know if games saved in version 3 load and run OK once upgraded to version 4 ?

Answer to first question: because the Morgan US Faction buy all the bases from the Spartan UK Faction, so now UK don't exist any more
Answer to second question (already replyed in other thread):
I had no problem, nor I red of any loading ver 3 saved game into ver 4 SMAC.
The only one I know - not strictly related with previus saved games - is that under ver. 4.0 the start and loading time are now longer
than before (on some PC a lot longer, on some hardly noticeable).

In that case I guess I'll take the plunge and upgrade this evening. Maybe I can go back to that previous game where I got fed up with missles arriving when they couldn't possibly reach that far
