ok I think this problem may be unfixable but it shouldn't be. I am having problems with the sound stuttering when I build a city improvment or reasearch a new tech (when it reads the quote). It works fine on the wonder movies though. I am using an IBM thinkpad with the most recent version of directx (6.1). I checked IBM's website and the Card I have is supposed to be compatible with directx 3 and any after that. Some of the card files were uncertifided by microsoft but the IBM site told me not to replace them. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
