I have just installed (for the third time). Each time, terran.exe refuses to run. I looked at my alpha centauri.ini file and notice it has nothing except [Alpha Centauri] and a little black box underneath.
I could be wrong but I fancy it is supposed to have more than that . . . how can I create one from scratch (i.e. what should I put in it)?

The ini file is created the first time the game runs, which is why it's MIA. What's your system specs? What version of the game is this (us/uk/gr, etc..)? Can you set your desktop to 800x600x256 colors?

Thanks for the explanation - I thought I was going mad! It is the UK version and I had it set to 24bit colour. When I changed back to 256 it ran. I'm afraid I cheated though. I noticed the previous posting included the contents of someone's .ini file so I copied and pasted. It was the colour settings that did the trick though.
