Ok, I know: italian language isn't used very much (indeed only in Italy and some area of Swiss9, but if firaxis decided that releasing an italian version would be a good idea, I think you shouldn't forget people who buy it.
Some times ago, I asked in this forum if there will be enhancement for italian version of Smac: what about them? Someone (I don't remenber if someone from Firaxis or another italian player as me) said that Firaxis will skip 3.0 italian version and will release the 4.0 one. Is it true? Or I must accept that Italy isn't considered at all by you?
P.S: I hope someone would answer me...

The EA testing and translating resources are stretched extremely thin. It's currently in test, though the feedback loop between us providing a version, and them documenting any problems, is taking an unfortunately long time.

Shad, it was my answer about skipping patch 3.0 italian, but I've no special info, only reading the forums and feel the usual bad support for italian market.
Some time ago I've bought the italian version of CIV II (after a lot of match played with the english version of a friend of mine). Then I realize that the translation was so bad that a lot of page of Civilopedia doesn't work at all (they point to wrong name of argument - english instead of italian and vice versa - of course causing missing page). I was so angry I decided to buy Alpha Centauri directly in USA version - so I have same patch - and bugs of all. And it also improve my english - well, I know it's bad, you had to read my previus letters

To mcostant: The german version of civ2 was real bad, too.
To FIRAXIS: do it so: make a patch (in english), which includes bugfixes (for example: Spacelift works now). This should be the same in all languge versions. Then translate the two or tree parts, who show language into all languages. This should take you 5 minutes.
If you say it will be your distributor, EA, so I must say: search for a better one, EA is the bug of the cumputergames market. (for example: EA AutoPatcher *!"�"�$&%�$*)

Fregatevene della versione italiana....vi stanno prendendo per il culo. La colpa non � nemmeno loro ma della CTO che ha voglia di fare una benemerita fava. Ho scaricata la versione inglese e l'ho installata senza il minimo problema, stavo anche per tradurmela da solo (si tratta semplicemente di aprire alcuni file di testo confrontandoli con la versione V2, confrontarli, aggiungere le righe mancanti - specialmente quelle del file alpha.txt- e tradurre le frasi). Il lavoro in se non richiede pi� di una mezza giornata e il testing di cui parlano � una solenne presa per il culo dato che non c'� nulla da testare. Ho deciso di non sbattermi per la traduzione ma di farmi spedire anche gli altri txt inglesi (leggere i messaggi met� in inglese e met� in italiano � piuttosto kitch) cos� almeno posso aggiornrla a SMACx in real time. A proposito, dopo aver giocato una partita in SP sto cominciando un paio di PBEM...so che ci sono alemno due italiani che organizzino PBEM (http://www.an.i-dentity.com/) e mi piacerebbe giocare una partita in locale (i turni sono pi� veloci). Mi contattate?
