I just bought the game and installed the 3.0 patch before playing it at all. When I first tried to play, the game crashing back into windows shortly after running terran.exe. By disabling the opening movie and the secret projects movies, I was finally able to get the game to work. Question: what do I have to do to be able to watch the movies during the game?
My system: Intel 150, 16 Mb RAM, 2Mb Matrox millennium, Ensonique soundcard, Win95

I have the same bug and tried everything which was suggested in other threads (switching to 800x600x8bit, turning hardwareacceleration off, setting EAX=0 and DS3D=0, giving free tech to Miriam, ...) - nothing worked.
Just reinstalled the game with patch v2 (got it from www.gamespot.com) and enjoyed a whole evening (4h) with lots of movies and not even one single crash.
So far this seems to be the only solution.
Now i am waiting for patch 4.

Thanks for the tip, Fratus. I reinstalled with the 2.0 and everything has worked fine. The 2.0 patch is a bit screwed up compared to 3.0, but I'll stick with the movies.
