I just noticed a possible bug where I was attacked by a missile, and the attacking faction didn't have teleporting ability or the range to reach my attacked unit from the origin point of their missile (21 squares away) Do the AI cheats give their missiles longer range? Or has anyone seen similar behavior? Also, it would be cool to have a missile/air attack option to attack enemy facilities in their cities, rather than units, and to have a choice of which unit you want to attack, unless they have a unit with SAM or AAA capability - this is more realistic in terms of modern air combat, as the Gulf War and Kosovo demonstrate.
In particular, at least in my playing style, which concentrates on technology, economics, and a small, mobile, sophisticated military, with strong naval and air capability, there are a lot of war situations where I'm not prepared to effectively attack and conquer enemy cities, and I don't want to waste time and resources trading blows - but it would be nice to send 'em back to the stone age so they can't bother me for a while.
