Chances are it's either a video or sound card driver problem. Things to try: Download and install dx 6.1 from www.microsoft.com/directx. If that doesn't do it, run DXdiag.exe and see if either card has uncertified drivers. Renaming the sound.dll to sound.dl_ will disable the sound, and if the problem vanishes, we know which card is the problem. Something else to try is setting your hardware acceleration to 0. Right-click on the my computer icon, select properties, then performance, then graphics. Set the slider to 0.jkm firaxis games |
