I think that I might have found a major problem with Alpha Centauri. Whenever I begin playing in the afternoon or evening, after a period of time I look out my window and discover that the sun has come up. Is this normal? Anyone else experienced it? If it's a known bug, is there a workaround, and will there be a patch?

Try getting some sleep. It is a common bug - I think everyone gets it. It often happens several hours after you start the game (ie 8 hours, maybe more). Maybe Firaxis can solve it by a patch that stops time going by.

I think the cure for the Just One More Turn Virus is an undocumented Discover Level 30 Tech. Unfortunately, all of your games will end before you can research the tech.

A high-level tech, hmm? I've gotten as far as "Transcendent Thought 380"... has anyone ever hit Transcendent Thought 500 or 1000? It should be possible, if you spent 400 years getting 3 tech advances per year, but I don't have the patience to do that... the "Eternity lies before you" quote gets SO nerve-wracking after hearing it a few hundred times (it's better with sound off, though).
