I am unable to change the gender of my faction leader, which I am supposed to actually be. This makes it harder to relate to when they're calling me sister. Anyone else have problems changing gender? If not, clue me in...

No, you just take a sharp knife, and with a swift upwards movement....

SMAC doesn't pay attention to that gender box in customize. If you really want to change a faction's leader gender, get ACEdit, customize all the gender references for that faction to the other gender, and save to a new file. Then LOAD that faction using the load faction option on the new game screen. you will have to reload factions at your next session of SMAC to get them back the way you had them though...

Yeah, when I was playing University, I kept getting pacts of Brotherhood even though I'd switched to female. But in the Interludes, the gender seemed correct.
