Basically like others I have had the stuttering problems, I have the exact same problem in Windows'95 as well. I have tried disabling the EAX and DS3D but still to no avail. I prefer to run this in NT 4.0 with Service pack 5 if possible properly. I saw in another message somewhere that you can exchange the sound.dll driver with another one to help clear this up, is this the case? I have a K6-2-300, 192 MB ram, TMC MVP+ Motherboard with newest bios revision, at the time of installation (2 months ago) I had the newest SB live drivers installed (I still think they are), Matrox Millenium Original with 4MB wram, Diamond Monster 3d accelerator, Adaptec 2940 SCSI controller and all SCSI devices. I would post a DXinfo list but It won't run under nt. ANy suggestions?

Current NT support for directsound in Microsoft's own words is "crude". What portions stutter under 95/98? Voice, SFX (like combat noises), music, or all of the above?jkm firaxis games |

Generally all of the above, everything stutters... except movies, they play fine... I also stated that I have this exact same problem in windows'95 OSR 2.5 with the newest DirectX drivers for everything... |
