I'd like to leave my ISP connection up when I play my PBEM turn, but the last two times I did that the game froze. It happens when inactivity causes my ISP connection to time out--Dial-Up Networking throws up the Reconnect/Cancel dialog box, and my PC is frozen. I can't even bring up the Close Program dialog to exit gracefully. This would not be a problem if SMAC weren't marking these PBEM saves as being replayed--now it looks like I've been trying to cheat.
