Anyone else have a problem with the taskbar in the game where it pops up in the middle of the screen right after a movie? It can't be because window's and smac's resolutions are different because it works fine on my other machine. Any help would be appreciated.

C'mom, somebody's got to know how to fix this. My windows resolution is set at 800*600 and SMAC's is at 1024*768. Right when the game starts up and always after a movie the taskbar pops up right in the middle of the screen. I mean right in the middle! It is very annoying. I didn't have this problem on my other machine but i do on this one and i don't know why. Please help!!!

This is a video resolution/driver problem. it sounds like the task bar is popping up in between movie and game due to nothing else having "focus" in windows. You aren't seeing it on your other machine because it is set up slightly different, even if the RESOLUTIONS of your WINDOWS and SMAC are set as the machine with the problem.
My suggestion would be to disable AUTO-HIDE on the machine with the problem, and see if that helps in the switching problem.
Are you running Windows 95 or 98 or 98 Second Edition? What resolutions? What kind of hard ware? And do you have Active Desktop on or off? Firaxis will need that sort of info.

Windows98 upgrade on problem machine. Active desktop off, AMD k6, Sis ????, 800*600
Windows95 on good machine. pentium pro 180, STB vision 95, also 800*600
