After building the Self-Aware Colony project I should expect the cost to maintain various facilities to be halved, correct? Well, the cost of all facilites at all bases remains unchanged. Absolutely no change on most recent version/patch...

It only affects the base it was built in, and, if you're wondering, no, it's not supposed to work that way if the datalinks mean anything.I haven't checked, but I think I saw somewhere that this still hadn't been fixed in v3.0. |

Right, but the base I built it in was not affected at all. No change in upkeep costs etc. And doesn't the help on this suggest that all bases will benefit?Christopher |

According to Prima's Offical Strategy Guide, "Energy maintenance cost for facilities is halved at all of your bases". If this does not do this then I guess I won't make this a high priority SP. I guess I never really noticed if it worked as advertised. |

Yes, this has bothered me, too. The Self-Aware Colony does not work as advertised. But beyond that, the simple matter of energy accounting has never seemed to work. I can run an energy deficit every turn, but somehow manage to net an increase. It would be nice to see the arithmetic work out occasionally. |

It could be a hardware bug, not unknown with Intel chips |
