Hi,
I recently bougth SMAC version 1.01i in the US and lated downloaded the US version of patch 3. When I run it a message displays saying "Invalid Patch File SMACP3US.EXE"
I haven't changed anything in the ini files of the program or made other modifications to it. I have checked thay I don't have the CIH virus (as was suggested to other posters). What can be happening? What can I do? TIA

So this is before it begins actually patching any files? If so, perhaps the download was corrupted. I'd redownload from this site. The CIH virus is a potential cause of the patch software hanging on the terran.exe file, stating that it can't find the file it's looking for, but did find one of the same name. Sounds like a different issue.

Thanks for replying; you were right. The patch file was corrupted. I did as you suggested and downloaded again the file and this time everything was OK. The patched worked and I'm now enjoying SMAC version 3. BTW, I'm running it in my P100 with some audio problems but enjoying it anyway. I know is my hardware but I'm happy I can play with it.
