Tried playing another game, got up to about year 2344 and game starts crashing. What's up with that?! Had earlier game that crashes at 2368-2369. This all happens after version 3.0 patch (surprise, surprise). And don't try telling me about defrag, cause that's what I've been doing quite frequently; or freeing up more space for swap file cause the drive's got 3.2 Gigs unused and Windows is still happily managing my swap file size. Also, unless I get instructions on how to rewrite the whole Alpha Centauri.ini file, don't even bother with the eax=0, ds3d=0, updating my drivers, checking for directx compatibility nonsense, because all of that is old news. There must be an answer out there that hasn't already been hacked to oblivion..... I'll be waiting. |
