I keep getting an
"Unable to allocate draw-buffer: Terminating program"
-error message when I play SMAC. It always appears when I have chosen my faction and started the game, but it also appears when an interlude should appear, when opening a city window, when accessing the Social Engineering, when activating an invention in the Scenario Editor, etc. You get the point.
The strange thing is, that this problem only begun to appear a couple of weeks ago. My SMAC version is 3.0 UK. I have runned Scandisk. Is there anything that I can do to this problem?

I agree, we do have a similar problem. Now you mention it, my problem started to occur right after i got v3 also. Seems like firaxis didn't fix the problem after all.

What's system specs, in particular the video card? Did anything else change between it working and it not working besides v3.0 being installed?

Where can I find out what my video card is? And I dont remember doing anything special. BTW, I just tested re-installing the game and playing with version 2.0. It didnt help.
