Have anyone encoutered these situations? I build several sea formers and put them fully automatical, since I already had enough to do. As result all sea formers started speeding around the map doing nothing usual and usually ending up to enemy territory with disastrous results. I got no kelp farms, mines or tidal harnesses (actually I did not get a single one of them). When noticed it I had to build those manually which is not so funny if you own lots of units. Also I found out that automatical planes sometimes circle around some spot until they just crashed. Few times computer moved my automatical planes so, that it circled them around until there was only two units of fuel left and then it switched to manual leaving me no choices but to crash them (no cities was within two squares). And yes, I am using version 3.0

these two are on the requested fix list for v4.0 (pretty sure anyway) |

I've had my interceptors speed out and circle an enemy plane then decide to go home. Most heinous since I would rather it shot the enemy plane down instead of allowing my poor ground unit to suffer.

I have been having all sorts of problems with my former both land and sea, if I ever set them to automate which you have to do, they do do a little and and just set of and wonder road doing nothing. It is really begining to spoil the game for me |

Autoimprove home base works much better than total automation. |

Yes, I'd agree with Mongoose. When you feel one city has been improoved enough simply send the former to the next city and make the new city own it. Then you can set it to improve own city again.Adrian |

And here I've been doing all of that manually. My improvements seem to be in the right place though. :/~Rackam |

I agree with Rackam - I do all improvements manually and use my aircraft manually as well - that way the job I want done gets done. One problem with SAM aircraft that I haven't seen a workaround for is that even critically damaged aircraft will scramble - if somebody sends a missile needleject after my heavily armored infantry unit in my bas with a tachyon field, ask me, do I care? YES - when the damned game force scrambles my critically damaged shard interceptor that costs 3 to 4 times as much as the infantry unit that can take care of itself quite nicely, thank you. If interceptors are damaged more than 50%, you should have the ability to refuse to scramble them. |
