Any movie that plays in SMAC is riddled with neon green and other strange colors that shouldn't be there. However, movies run fine when I use the included utility (playuv15) to view them. What is wrong and how can I fix it? I have version 3.0 of SMAC running on a Dell 200MMX with an ATI Rage Pro powered video card. And yes, I do have the latest video drivers. Please help me if you can. This is my fourth post on this topic.

Well, it's a conflict with your video card. The solution in the past has been to update your video drivers, especially with ATI cards. If that doesn't work for you, I'm not certain what else to suggest. You could mess with the ini tweaks listed in the readme.txt, though that hasn't solved this problem before. jkm firaxis games |

Heck, you could try lowering your hardware acceleration in your Display properties, and see if that even helps... |

ATI haven't been able to ship decent drivers for quite some time now, especially not for their newer 3D accelerated cards (DO NOT buy their Riva TNT equipped card, just warning you on beforehand) which sadly includes your Rage PRO.However, they have been getting an awful lot of **** over this the past weeks so I think they're "on the mother". Basically it would probably be fruitful (sooner or later) to check their site daily and perhaps write a mail or two to their support. Next time go with Asus, you can't go wrong with any of their cards. /Xipe Totec, Cenobite Extraordinnaire |

An update: Nothing I have tried has worked.A comment: You're right about ATI's terrible support for their cards, but (thankfully) I'll be replacing my old ATI XPert @Play with a shiny new Voodoo3 in a couple of days (as soon as I can find a cheap vendor with the card IN stock). |
