Just got the game today. Load it up, played awhile, no problems. Then, I get on the net, download Version 3 (UK version), install it, and now when creating a new game, the game crashes and kicks me out back to Windows as soon as I hit 'Ok' on the tribe selection screen.

I'm running:
Win 98 (fully updated)
DirectX 6.1
Gateway 2000 400Mhz
STP Velocity 128 8mb
Soundblaster PCI 64
128mb ram
