I'm having a problem getting units to load the transport that I want them to be on. Two examples:

1. A base contains a transport needlejet, a tranport foil, and a probe team. Tell the probe team to load transport. Move the transport foil out of the base to its destination. Upon inspection, the transport foil is empty, and the probe team is still back at the base (on the transport needlejet, I suppose).

2. A base contains 2 transport cruisers (one of which has already moved), and several ground units. Tell the ground units to load transport and then move one transport cruiser away to its destination. Upon arrival, the transport cruiser is found to be empty, and the ground units are still at the base (on the other transport cruiser, I guess).

How do you get units to load the proper transports in bases when there are many transports present? Civ2 used to assign
passengers to whichever transport left the square first, and I was expecting the same behavior in SMAC, but apparently this is not the case.

I have loading problems also in this game. What i do is when moving the transport out of the city, I wait the unit and then load the specific units i want into the transport. extra hassle, but keeps empty transports to a minimum. Or move the transport out of the city before you move the other one in. if you had units asleep in the city when you moved the first transport in, they "wake" up. then if you did not re-sleep them before you moved the second transport out, the second transport would be empty.

on the side: when moving a transport with units onto an empty transport (that has not moved yet, if you re-sleep the units, they will transfer to the unmoved transport, thus effecting your troop relay. if you have transports stationed properly, you can move your army around the globe and still have unit movement left on your transported units. I think that is suppose to be that way.
